Pierre Desir is often the forgotten corner with the all the rumblings about Justin Gilbert and news secondary addition Tramon Williams.

But remember, the Browns picked Desir in the 2014 draft with the idea of redshirting the Lindenwood University product last season. He played a little toward the end of the 2014 campaign, which should’ve helped his growth.

The Browns have made it clear Gilbert will have to earn playing time, and that means there’s an opportunity for Desir to get on the field. With Gilbert away from minicamp for family matters, and Williams a little banged up, Desir took first-team reps opposite Haden on the second day of mini camp.

He made a great play with a perfectly timed jump on a ball intended for Andrew Hawkins. It’s a stretch to believe he could start come September, but at the very least, Desir is continuing to develop.
