Forgotten Man: Nick Swisher
What’s happened to Nick Swisher is a major bummer. The Indians are paying him major money and he can’t get on field. He had surgery on both knees last season, and has been on the DL since Jun 14 with inflammation of the left knee.
What’s become of Swish is a shame, because he was a guy who genuinely seemed excited to be an Indian.
But at this point, does anyone even remember that the 34-year-old is still on the team? It’s like the Indians have moved on from the Ohio State product because the team had no choice.

The Indians are 19-24. Not good for a team that struggles to get fans through the gate in the first place.
Cleveland’s been handed some wet weather this season, but for the Indians to contend in the second half, they’re going to have to better at Progressive Field. Attendance wise, the Indians are second-to-last in the big leagues, as the club averages 17,180 fans per game. Perhaps the Tribe isn’t feeling the home-field advantage because most of the time, they’re playing in an empty park.
On the road, the Indians are 23-20.
