Offensive Line

Most Browns fans will point the downturn in last seasons to the moment Alex Mack broke his leg during the Steelers game. The Browns went through a lot of struggles throughout the rest of the season trying to find a suitable replacement. Holes started developing in pass protections and the running game started slowing down in a big way. Mack’s injury led to the practical death of the Browns offense.

Luckily not only do the Browns get back a healthy Alex Mack but they also bring in rookie Cameron Erving to help fortify that Offensive Line. While it is not 100% clear where Erving will play, he has spent a lot of time at Right Tackle up to this point so the assumption is that will be the position where Erving will start the season at.

The Browns offensive line doesn’t get enough credit. When healthy, they are one of the best Offense Lines in the NFL. With Mack back healthy and Cameron Erving coming on board to join Joel Bitonio, John Greco and 8-time Pro Bowler Joe Thomas, this might become the best Offensive Line in the NFL. Having that luxury will make it a lot easier for the Browns passing and running game to succeed.
