So who’s left? Well, there’s Shane Wynn, who perhaps more than any other WR stands out above the rest. He caught the TD pass from Manziel on his 96-play drive against Buffalo and been electric on return duty late in games. His biggest return, a 60-yarder against Buffalo didn’t stand due to penalty but showed his potential.

Wynn is fast and elusive, but he’s small being only 5’7. As a local Ohio product he’s become a fan favorite, but his chances of making the final 53 are slim. Look for him to make the practice squad if he’s not on the back-end of the 53.

If Wynn ends up on the practice squad he might be joined by fellow rookies Josh Lenz and Vince Mayle. Both players have made some plays in camp and late in games, but they have also had a few drops and rookie moments. Farmer will consider the guys who can contribute on special teams for the final roster spots, and there’s a good chance that Mayle (a 4th round pick) may make the team just because of where he was drafted.

That leaves Marlon Moore. He seems to be a favorite of the coaching staff, and he while has contributed on special teams, it’s debatable as to whether or not he provides the team with much more. He has not contributed much as a WR. Again it will come down to Pettine, Farmer, and the rest of the staff, but if it were me, Moore would probably find himself among the players most likely to be cut first out of this group.

When it’s all said and done, these are the Cleveland Browns receiving options for 2015. With the year-long suspension of Josh Gordon, it’s going to be up to these players to drive the Browns passing game. Teams win by running the ball, but today’s NFL centers around the passing game. If the Browns are going to win games, it’s going to do a lot with what these WRs do throughout the season.

The good news is that they don’t have to do it all on their own, as the Browns have a decent collection of Tight Ends.
