Of the faces at WR in camp, the most notable might be Terrelle Pryor and that’s by name only. The former Ohio State QB turned WR is in the process of a career altering position change. While the former QB was adamant to remain a QB and QB only, the lack of interest from NFL teams to offer him a contract, spurred his decision to convert to WR. It seemed the minute he did, the Browns came knocking.

Let’s face it, the former QB is a freak athlete. He’s fast, elusive, and he’s got size at 6’5. Height is something the Browns lack at WR. It was well worth the risk for the Browns to give him a shot. As it turns out, he impressed many fans and coaches in camp with his ability to flash his potential in drills.

However, a freak hamstring injury just before the second preseason game has limited Pryor in camp recently. That in turn has jeopardized what many thought would be a guaranteed spot on the 53-man roster.

It’ll be up to Pryor to make his case in the third preseason game. He knows he can help, but Coach Pettine isn’t expecting miracles from Pryor, he just needs to “do his job.” As an Ohio State fan and a Browns fan I want Pryor to make the team. Realistically though, I feel as though it’s a long shot. Pryor needs to do well or show potential in the final two preseason games if he stands any chance of making the 53-man roster when camp breaks.
