5) Defense Lays Down As Jets Close Out 1st Half With A TD.

Despite some bad breaks and missed opportunities, the Browns still had a 10-7 lead as the Jets took over from their own 28 with just under three minutes to play in the first half.

What happened next?

Fitzpatrick led an nine-play, 72-year drive that culminated with a 15-yard score to Eric Decker. Fitzpatrick, who wasn’t even pegged as the Jets’ starter to begin the season, went 7-of-8 for 65 yards on the final drive of the half.

The Browns defense is supposed to be the strength of the team, but Fitzpatrick–a journeyman himself–exposed a unit that looked unprepared.
