Who Are The Titans Playmakers On Offense?

Walker and Douglas brings veteran talent to this team. Walker was a top TE in the league last year with 63 receptions for 890 yards and 4 TDs last year in what was a shaky year for the Titans offense. He is however questionable for this weekend’s contest after leaving the Tampa Bay game with a hand injury.

On the younger end of the spectrum the Titans have their number one receiving threat in Wright and their starting HB Sankey. Wright has been a solid WR for the Titans since he was drafted in 2012 and the Titans are expecting him to take another step in his development this year with Mariota at QB.

Last year Wright had 57 receptions for 715 yards and 6 TDs. You can expect him and Walker (if healthy) to be targeted a lot in the game Sunday. Covering them up will be a big key in stopping this Titans offense.

Sankey will be leading the rushing attack for the Titans alongside a very familiar face in Terrance West. West actually had a decent game on Sunday with 42 yards on 13 attempts. While Sankey and West aren’t exactly making headlines, they did combine for 116 yards on the ground against Tampa Bay so it’s safe to say that they will be circled on the Browns’ scouting report.

It seems as if the Titans are trying to recreate an Oregon-esque feel for this Titans offense. While they might not go so far as to what Chip Kelly is doing with the Philadelphia Eagles, it shows they want to put their players in position to make big plays and score plenty of points.

With a rookie QB and an unimpressive running game, it’ll be in the Browns best interest to focus on stopping the big play. If they can stop the big play, then that will force Tennessee to drive the ball on this Browns defense. I’m not so sure they can do that successfully on a consistent basis.
