Stretching The Field

But Maryland could be the fix Ohio State’s passing game needs to get on track.

The Terrapins allow over 12 yards per reception, which should have Jones, and receivers Braxton Miller, Jalin Marshall, Dontre Wilson and Michael Thomas dreaming about Saturday.

The Buckeyeys passing game is currently ranked 78th in the country. Besides a few eye-popping throws against Virginia Tech, there hasn’t been much to get excited about for Buckeye receivers.

Miller used the Virginia Tech game to get the talk going that he may be a first-round NFL pick…but he’s fallen off the map since. Some of that may be the newness to the position, and some may be the scheme, along with Jones’ ability to get Braxton the ball.

If Ohio State can’t ring up big plays against the Terrapins, the Buckeyes offense needs to be seriously dissected.
