The Ohio State Buckeyes are not playing well and that is being said nicely. Watching them there are many aspects that are very frustrating for a No. 1 team in the country.
Up to this point we have seen talented, but under performing players, especially at QB, and as a team in general. Given that the team is not playing up to their potential, the question has to be asked: Did Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer get the QB decision wrong?
There are plenty of reasons to like QB Cardale Jones as the starter. However there are a lot of reasons pro QB J.T. Barrett too.
Both are capable of leading a team to many wins, as their prior experience has shown. On the other hand, can either of them, with currently Jones as the starter, overcome the struggles associated with their team (as well as themselves) well enough to achieve long-term success?
Is a team capable of getting enough success to make it back to college football’s playoffs with average play at QB?
