Both Utah And Clemson Have Been Impressive

Right now my picks would be Ohio State, TCU, Utah and Clemson. Even though Ohio State has played like they do not want the top ranking, its inevitable that they will get the top ranking if they keep winning. Whether anybody likes it or not, we they will be the top team.

TCU is picked now even though they will probably not be there much longer. They’ve had three close games that they won in the final seconds against much lesser talent and the playoff committee will put that into consideration before deciding the playoffs.

Utah might be my only true lock. They had a big win against Cal Saturday and were confusing Goff all night. My last pick would be Clemson because they may finally be legit this year.

They have a tough strength of schedule and they have played tough all year. The ACC has been a little down this year, but Clemson had a HUGE win over Notre Dame last week. If any of the top four as set now lose, they will be replaced.

Ohio State has had a weak schedule so far but they’re undefeated and are the defending champions, so I would give them the top spot at No.1.

Baylor has not really played anyone but they have blown out every one they have played up to this point. I would give them No. 2. Utah had great wins against two top 25 teams in Oregon and Cal so they will get my nod at No.3.

Clemson has done the same thing Utah has in the ACC against Notre Dame and Georgia Tech so they deserve to be my pick at the No. 4 spot. LSU would be the first team out at No. 5 since they have not played anyone special so far. But that will change soon.

I believe the four playoff teams this year will be Ohio State, LSU, Utah, and Clemson.
Ohio State is winning games closely, but they are winning every week. Sometimes the Buckeyes play down to the level of competition that they play. The flip side of that coin is that the Buckeyes play UP to the level of competition when they play good teams. Bottom line: this is the same team that won it all last year; Ohio State is loaded.

LSU is playing really well six weeks into the season. They also have the Heisman Trophy front runner playing in the backfield. Leonard Fournette is an incredible running back for the Tigers. He is playing light’s out right now and he certainly looks like the best player in the nation. The defense is keeping other teams out of the end zone and overall, LSU is worthy of one of the four playoff spots.

Utah has one of the best defenses in the nation and I really like Hunter Dimick, a hybrid defensive lineman/ outside linebacker. Utah beat Michigan and the Wolverines look like a tough team to beat.

Clemson is the dark horse of the bunch because they have so little exposure compared to the other teams, except for Utah. Clemson is loaded with talent and they also have a hybrid player that I’m big on and his name is Shaq Lawson. Lawson is 6’3 275 and is a man on a mission on the edge. Watson is one of the brightest young stars at the quarterback position in college football.

Clemson has weapons on both sides of the ball and they are very well coached. Obviously a lot would have to happen for these four teams to end up in the playoff and if I was asked this question in a month from now, I’d probably have a couple different teams in there.
