Ohio State is the No.1 team despite not always playing up to their elite ability level. They need to fix their defensive issues, and should look into more options for QB J.T. Barrett in order to be successful to make sure they remain one of the four.

Regardless of how much improvement happens in those areas, the team needs to keep relying on RB Ezekiel Elliott. Doing that would give the team’s fan base plenty of confidence that they will repeat as champions.

Coming into this season, I did not expect Utah to win some of their early games this season, but kudos to them. Their RB Devontae Booker is a very talented and exciting player who should keep on providing many difference making plays for the Utes. They deserve the second spot as of today. Looking forward, Utah should still be in the picture for a spot, but it should be either the third or fourth spots.

Baylor comes in at third, but they very well could be listed in first or second. The way they play, light up the scoreboard (their lowest scoring game was 56 so far this season), and finish games has been exciting to watch. Baylor HC Art Briles deserves more credit for the way he has built his program.

For the fourth spot, Clemson fills the spot. Their toughest part of the schedule is done and as long as they can get past FSU later in the season, they will be in serious contender. Other teams are qualified too, but after succeeding the way they did the past two weeks, they are the pick today.
