As much as I hate to admit this because he hasn’t earned it yet, is lets see what Johnny Football can do. He could play himself right off the team with what else has gone on in his over year and a half stay here. The Browns need to know if can he do the job, be the face of the team and the quarterback they have been looking for since 1999.
There is not an Andrew Luck or Tom Brady to anyone’s knowledge in the 2016 draft. There could be, but that would take time and even more patience to find out. However, there are a couple possible candidates like Paxton Lynch from Memphis and Jared Goff from Cal who could turn out to be good, as well as one or two others.
Yet, the Browns need to know if they really need to be looking again for a quarterback. There are needs at wide receiver, possibly corner, and other places on defense.
Although I would hesitate to draft defense again after this regime has used high picks for defense to no avail! I truly hope neither general manager Ray Farmer or head coach Mike Pettine is anywhere near the draft room during the upcoming draft.
