In NBA trade rumors, it’s been reported the Cleveland Cavaliers would like to add another wing player, rather than power forward Markieff Morris. These five wings could help the Cavs down the stretch.

It’s a pretty good time to be a Cavs’ fan. The Big 3, Kevin Love, LeBron James and Kyrie Irving are healthy, and Wine & Gold seem destined to be the No. 1 seed when the Eastern Conference Playoffs commence this spring.

But like good fans, we always want to see our roster improve. Even though ESPN basketball writer Brian Windhrost reported on his Hey, Windy! radio show Jan. 15 that he hasn’t heard the Cavs to be engaged in any trade talks, it’s our job as fans to scour the rosters to pinpoint which players could help the down the stretch.

There’s been a lot of buzz about moving Timofey Mozgov, which makes no sense, because he’s making only $5.5 million. The Markieff Morris rumor mill has also ran rampant since Windhorst speculated the two teams could be destined for a trade tango. Windy has since crushed that idea, but that hasn’t stopped the local media from tying Morris to the Cavs.

The Cavs have a roster spot open, and a $10.5 million trade exception. If one of these wing players becomes available, the Cavs should inquire before the NBA’s Feb. 5 trade deadline.
