Cleveland Browns: Who Is The One Player That Must Stay?
By Ryan Rosko
Safety Tashaun Gipson
Kris Grimes
Much like everyone else, the Cleveland Browns should try their best to keep Mack. He had an off year despite being selected to the Pro Bowl. However, the knee injury he sustained last season is not one to take lightly. He had a lot to work back from, and will be a lot better next season.
The only problem is that I do not see Mack coming back to the Browns. I fully expect him to exercise the option to terminate his contract.
Thus I am turning my attention to someone I would like to see the Browns re-sign, and that is safety Tashaun Gipson. Why you say? How about the fact that he was a Pro Bowl quality safety only one season ago? Or that before getting injured in the late part of 2014, “The Shark” was leading the NFL in interceptions? He had six in 11 games. He built a strong Pro Bowl caliber backfield with Haden.
Good safeties are not always easy to find in the NFL these days, and with the passing game becoming more prominent, it is important to have game changers on those deep throws. For Gipson, much like Mack, he was coming off a major injury in 2015.
While the stats are not there, Gipson is a good young player who has shown potential to be really good.

So I would like the new front office to give him another shot to see if a healthier Gipson could flourish once again under returning Defensive Coordinator
Ray Horton.
