8. Ibraheim Campbell

When Campbell was drafted during the 2015 NFL Draft, I found his selection by the Cleveland Browns very head-scratching. Why would Cleveland draft him when there were other talented players on the board at positions of need? If the Browns had to draft a safety, more established players at the position were available in the middle of the draft.

Being a rookie backup defensive back, his opportunities were going to be limited. Campbell played decently, but he is more suited as a special teams player. Campbell finished with nine tackles and one assisted tackle in 15 games with one start.

Although Campbell has potential and played only one season in the NFL, he has a long way to cementing proof that he can play for the Browns and in the NFL. Donte Whitner had a down year, but he should bounce back in 2016.

However, what if Whitner still struggles? As the backup strong safety, Campbell would have to play a lot more. If that is needed, that is not something I can be confident in.

At the end of the day, if he absolutely has to be brought back up, it has to only be because of depth chart and potential reasons.
