3. Dwayne Bowe

Bowe was not the answer to help the Cleveland Browns offense. Bowe’s base salary for the 2016 season is $6,150,000, but the dead money is $4,600,000 post June 1st.

Between the multiple games of being injured and listed as inactive or being healthy but was inactive, it was seen very early on that Bowe’s contract was a mistake. During the season Bowe was discussed more with the uncertainty if he will be able to play that week rather than the potential impact he could make.

Keeping a wide receiver on the roster who is making that kind money, coming off of a season who had five receptions for just 53 yards is asinine.

2015 was Cleveland’s worst season in his career by far! Prior to this past season, the worse season Bowe had was in 2009 when he finished with 47 receptions for 589 yards and four touchdowns. If Bowe had a season much similar to his 2009 totals, maybe fans would have been satisfied with his play given the offense’s issues.

Now that Ray Farmer is no longer drafting and signing players for the Browns, no one is likely is going to advocate for him to stay.
