LeBron James: The Best Basketball Player In The NBA?

Long story short, yes. Right now Golden State Warriors point guard Steph Curry is playing on a level above everyone else this season and is a clear favorite to repeat as the NBA MVP.
That being said, LeBron James is the best overall player in the league. He might not score like Curry or play defense like San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard, but he just does so much.
LeBron showed in the NBA Finals that he can do just about everything in the game of basketball well. Whether it is scoring, passing, rebounding, defending, (coaching). He can pretty much do it all. The only real flaw in his game is his jump shot and even that is not bad.

Right now if I had to build a team around one player it is LeBron James. Curry is up there but a few other players might get picked in front of him when it comes to players you can build a franchise around.

LeBron James is a very good player and hopefully he has some good years left to give a championship to northeast Ohio. However, due to James’ age and unfortunately the lengthy playing time he put in while playing with the Miami Heat, has slowed him down a step. James is still one of the best, but he is no longer the best in the NBA.
As much as I hate to admit it, Steph Curry has probably taken a step by LeBron. He is a supreme three-point shooter who can score from beyond the normal three-point line.
Curry can also dribble drive to the basket with the best of them. His skills are far-ranging. Kawhi Leonard is not far behind either, but the Spurs are more built with team players, rather than as an individual-minded team.

At the end of the day, Leonard is close and is very important to his team.
