SF: LeBron James

LeBron James is the greatest player in Cavs history, and that makes him lock for the Cavs’ All-Time All-Star team. He’s been an All-Star every season except for his rookie campaign, and he’s represented the Wine & Gold seven different occasions heading into 2015-2016.

He played his best All-Star game as a Cav during the 2007-2008 season. He scored 27 points, dropped nine dimes and collected eight rebounds. For this effort, James collected his second All-Star Game MVP award.

At 31 years old, James is still one of the games greatest talents. When the 2015-2016 season ends, he’ll have been an All-Star 12 times, which puts Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s mark of 19 selections in his crosshairs.

Whether or not James passes Kareem is probably up to James.  He needs to go to eight more games to break the record. That means James would be 39 in the record-breaking contest.

James figures to be an elite level talent for at least three, four, maybe five more years because of the way he’s taken care of his body. Even when LeBron isn’t the same LeBron he is today, if he’s really good, he’ll probably be posting All-Star numbers. Plus, he’ll benefit from the fan vote. His name ID is enough to get him voted into the starting lineup for the next 10 years even if he decides not to play the first half of the season.

Either way, this was easy. He’s the Cavs’ greatest All-Star, and greatest player.
