The Ohio State Signing Day was another victory for Urban Meyer, who turned in another top 5 recruiting class to Columbus. These FAQ’s will be your guide to the glorious day that was the 2016 Signing Day.

Another recruiting cycle, another top five class. Urban Meyer’s success as a pitch man for Ohio State is already well chronicled, with each and every one of his Buckeye classes landing in the top ten in every recruiting services rankings since he took over the program. The 2016 recruiting class is no different.

This year’s newest commits brought Ohio State a No. 5 rank according to ESPN and is loaded with talent up and down the list. So which recruits stand out the most? Who has the brightest future? Who could emerge as a sleep star of the group? There’s plenty to forecast with the #Dream16, so let these frequently asked questions be a guide to that latest list of future Buckeye stars.

Question: What was the biggest recruiting victory?

Answer: Quarterback Dwayne Haskins, Jr.

Haskins isn’t the highest rated prospect on the list. That honor belongs to Nick Bosa, the top rated defensive end in the country. Haskins, though, was a long time Maryland commit as an athletic quarterback with the potential to be a top passer in the college game. Haskins was firmly in the Terrapins camp and was actively recruiting for them until Randy Edsell was relieved of his coaching duties.

That opened the door for Meyer to add Haskins to his list of famous flips. Meyer was quoted as saying that Haskins is the best quarterback prospect he has ever recruited, which might be true for his time in Columbus. Haskins is the highest rated quarterback to be signed by the Buckeyes since Braxton Miller, which bodes well for his future.

Haskins was No. 63 on the ESPN Top 300 recruiting list.  He had offers from football powerhouses Alabama, LSU and Florida, Clemson, Flordia State and Michigan, among others.
