Lets See The Trio Healthy At The Same Time

Nick Dudukovich

Before we blow up the “Big Three”, shouldn’t we at least see a healthy Kevin Love, Kyrie Irving and LeBron James play the duration of a playoff schedule? Remember, the Cleveland Cavaliers were scorching hot when they entered the playoffs last year, and then Love got hurt against the Boston Celtics.

The point is that the Cleveland Cavaliers’ star trio has not been around long enough to prove, or disprove anything. There’s still a month left in this regular season, and while things could be better, Cleveland still has plenty of time to get its act together.

Love is a double-double big man who can stretch the floor. Kyrie Irving still has the best handles in the game. LeBron James, despite signs of aging, just won player of the month. This is still formidable trio and it’s also worth noting, Love and Irving didn’t blink when presented with maximum contracts to remain in Cleveland.

The Golden State Warriors are the team to beat in the NBA, but if the “Big Three” broke up, life wouldn’t be easier anywhere else in the NBA. The path to the NBA Finals remains the easiest in the East. Despite how dominant Golden State and the San Antonio Spurs have been this season, anything can happen in a seven-game series when your team possesses the talent of Love, LeBron and Kyrie.
