Cleveland Browns 2016 NFL Mock Draft 1.0
By Ryan Rosko
Round 3. A Big Guy Up Front
After going offense for the first two picks, the run continues into the third round. The Cleveland Browns could be without both Alex Mack and Mitchell Schwartz come the draft and because of that, replacements are needed.
The worst case scenario for Graham Glasgow is that he is someone who gives Cleveland depth along the offensive line. Glasgow could be drafted later in the third, or early fourth, but the need and talent made him worth the pick with other centers/guards off the board.
Should the Cleveland Browns want Cameron Erving to take over at center if Mack leaves, Glasgow would become the backup center. However, Glasgow is more than talented enough to compete for that possible starting job from the start.
Glasgow is also athletic enough to start at right guard. The left side of the offensive line is secure with Joe Thomas and Joel Bitonio. However, questions are going to remain for a while at center and on the right side of the line.
This offensive line situation is not ideal but something needs to be done. Assuming Glasgow can come and play from day one, he could be viewed as a player like Bitonio was after being drafted. Bitonio, who is a very physical, yet agile and athletic guard, plays just like Glasgow did when he was in college.
