Michael Thomas

Just imagine the kind of song Browns’ fans will be signing if the team uses it’s first pick to select Jared Goff, and then takes Ohio State Product Michael Thomas at No. 32?

The Browns would have their quarterback and receiver of the future. These two along won’t get the Browns into the playoffs come 2016, but they offer hope–something to build on.

I had a hard time putting Thomas on this list, mainly because I don’t think he’ll be available at No. 32.

Thomas has size, at 6-3, 212 pounds, but he’s not a burner. What he can do is rack up yards after the catch. He had 253 of those in 2015–the 10th highest mark in the country. Last season, he totaled 56 catches for 781 yards and nine scores.

The nephew of former NFL Pro Bowler Keshawn Johson said he believes his route-rounding will help him stand out among this year’s crop of receivers.

He not blow you away with his speed, but he has the body and ability you’d like to see from receivers in the AFC North. He’s got good hands and his body should hold up. Nabbing him at 32 would be a great way for the Browns to begin their rebuild.
