Rajai Davis

Rajai Davis, 34, was another signing not too many Tribe fans were exceptionally thrilled with. Like Byrd, his importance has just been elevated.

More from Factory of Sadness

In 341 at-bats with the Detroit Tigers last season, Davis hit .258, had an on-base percentage of .306, and hit eight home runs with 30 runs batted in. He also stole 18 bases in 26 attempts.

Nobody is expecting the veteran outfielder to be a difference maker, but any positive contribution is desperately needed at this point.

Davis will most likely fill in for the injured Brantley in left field, but could also see time in center if Naquin struggles. The Tribe’s outfield garners many questions.

Hopefully, Davis can provide some answers for Terry Francona. If Davis can find the fountain of youth, the outfield predicament could become much easier to manage.
