Cleveland Indians: Chisenhall To DL Puts Team In Dire Straits
Jose Ramirez
Jose Ramirez, 23, has the potential to be the best utility man in all of baseball. Although he struggled as the Tribe’s starting shortstop in 2015, he thrived in the utility role.
Ramirez can play all infield positions, besides first base, and has the athleticism to be effective defensively in the outfield.
Pre-All Star break, Ramirez hit .176 before ultimately losing his starting job to the electrifying Francisco Lindor. Post- All Star break was an entirely different story.
Ramirez batted .259, boasted a .337 on-base percentage, and had five home runs with 19 runs batted in. If he can post similar numbers in April and May this year, the panic currently setting in could subside substantially.
