Draft The QB!

Nick Dudukovich

The Cleveland Browns must avoid being too smart for their own good. Take a quarterback (preferably California’s Jared Goff), and start building for the future. Do not take a defensive tackle or an offensive lineman. I do not want to diminish the importance of these positions, but solid starters can be found elsewhere in the draft.

I am intrigued by Florida State defensive back Jalen Ramsey, but I cannot sit here and write that Cleveland needs to use another first-round pick on its secondary. We thought the Browns were getting a shutdown corner for the next 10 seasons in Justin Gilbert, and look at how that turned out.

Busts come at all positions. If you are going to swing and miss, it better be at the best position on the field—and that is quarterback.

The Cleveland Browns have 10 picks. They should be able to find some starters with all of those selections. With the signing of Robert Griffin III, and with Josh McCown still on the roster, the rookie quarterback is not likely to see the field in 2016.

They have time to add pieces around whoever they select at quarterback. Make the right move Browns. Get that quarterback!
