Building To The Finale Part Two

With the momentum on their side, the Cleveland Cavaliers are once again up 2-1 on the Golden State Warriors. Entering game four, James, Irving, and Smith have the Cavaliers rolling offensively, and defensively Dellavedova has provided a tough match-up again for Curry.

Cavs fans are starting to feel warm and fuzzy with thoughts of a parade in downtown Cleveland. Could the Cavaliers go up 3-1 before heading back to Oakland?

Well, to the dismay of Cavs fans, the Cavaliers came out with a dud in Game 4. Much like Game 1, the team struggled from three-point range, and the Warriors came out firing. Lue tried to use different lineups to slow the Warriors and spark his offense, but to his avail nothing worked. Green had a triple-double while Thompson and Curry combined for 58 points.

LeBron led the Cavaliers with 23, but did so on 10-27 shooting, while the other two members of the Big 3 (Love & Irving) combined for 18 points. The Cavaliers lost 120-87.

It’s back to Oakland with the series tied 2-2 and the Warriors once again have the odds in their favor. If the Cavaliers want the series to return home with a chance to win, they are going to have to steal another game in Oakland.

If you watched the Cavaliers this season, you have a pretty good idea how Game 5 would go. After getting blown out in Game 4, the Cavaliers returned the favor to the Warriors and blew them out on their home court. It was a shock to the national media, but Cavaliers fans are used to this type of performance.

When the Cavaliers suffered a blow-out in the regular season, they found a way to come back and win in a big way. This night was no different. The Cavaliers gave a masterful performance on offense, defense, and it was as if every rebound went their way. The Cavaliers brought an offensive onslaught led by Irving, Love, and James.

The Big 3 combined for 70 points, 25 assists, and 30 rebounds. It was by far the Big 3’s best game, and it set up what could be the biggest Game 6 in Cleveland sports history. The Cleveland Cavaliers won 132-100 and were coming home up 3-2. It is finally time to really play pretend.
