At 6-foot-7, 277 pounds, Carl Nassib is a large individual–almost too big to be a linebacker.

His size makes him a candidate to start on the defensive line, and considering he was a monster at Penn State, with 19.5 sacks in his red-shirt senior season, Nassib could start for the Browns in 2016.

Defensive coordinator Ray Horton will probably use a rotation of players on the line–the fresher the better–but Nassib’s motor and physical attributes should be what earn him the starting job.

After all, this is the same guy who was once told by former Penn State coach Bill Brien that he  needed to focus on something other than football in his post-college career.

Realistically, Nassib better start. As the 65th overall pick, this Nittany Lion doesn’t need to be a superstar, but he does need to contribute. That means eating up blockers and giving linebackers the chance to rush the quarterback.
