Ohio State Football: 5 Buckeye Positions To Watch In 2016
By Eric Pitcher

After the loss of Chase Farris, Jacoby Boren and All-American tackle Taylor Decker, Urban Meyer needs to fill some holes on the offensive line.
Sliding over from right guard, to center and being the rock of the offensive line will be fifth-year senior, Pat Elflein. Joining him will be Billy Price, who started every game for the Buckeyes last season at guard.
That still leaves three spots. Look for Jamarco Jones who was the backup to Decker, to get the start at left tackle.
Urban Meyer and his offensive line coach have been talking about the possibility of a true freshman to start at guard. Michael Jordan is his name, no not the basketball superstar
Jordan is a 6-foot-7, 315 pound monster out that state up north. Yes, Michigan.
The last time a freshman started on offensive line from Ohio State was a 2016 Hall of Fame inductee and could arguably be one of the best college lineman of all time, Orlando Pace.

Filling out the last spot I expect it to be sophomore Isiah Prince to take the starting gig. Prince has been taking many of the first team reps this spring.
It will be an interesting start to fall practices. Players will be moved around, trying different positions. Some guys will outperform others and move up the depth chart.
This Buckeyes team will get a tough test early on this season, as they will travel to Oklahoma, to take on Baker Mayfield and the Sooners in the third game of the season.
Ohio State should breeze through their schedule, I believe the toughest match-ups of the year will come of course at Oklahoma, but the second biggest game, will probably come against Michigan. The Wolverines proved that even last year, under the helm of Jim Harbaugh, that they are turning their program around. Michigan won’t be a pushover in 2016.
I like Ohio State’s chances this year, I believe Barret can make a strong run for the Heisman Trophy. As a team, Ohio State can make a strong run for the College Football Playoff.

I also believe that even though it could be a rebuilding year, once the season gets rolling and this team starts playing to the level they are capable of playing they are going to be a tough match up for any team.
