The Cleveland Indians are competing at a high level. Yet, their ownership has and could continue to hold back the team from acquiring the talent they need. Could a change in approach be on its way?

History is sure to repeat itself. In the case of the Cleveland Indians with the owners, the Dolan family, how they have done business is nothing out of the ordinary.

When determing if the Indians can add talent, more often than not no impact players from other teams gets traded to Cleveland. The end result? A lack of postseason trips or the opportunities to contend fall by the wasteside.

Fans are disappointed, yet the Dolans do a lot for the team outside of the roster. Still, is it not clear that if the budget gets expanded, more success and more revenue would follow?

Cleveland has a great group of young talent players. However, like all other teams, there are still holes on the roster and upgrades are needed. Nothing seems to be on the horizon of any changing to the family’s approach to acquire talent, but things change.

Could the Dolans decide to prioritize the roster more in the future? Is a change possible? Members of the FoS team gave their thoughts.
