Brooklyn Nets

The Nets have money, and need competent players.

And the early talk during the pre free-agent frenzy has Rajon Rondo and Jeremy Lin tied to Brooklyn.

Even if that’s the case, and the Nets sign one of those players, Brooklyn could still make a play for Delly because their roster is so barren (I’d take Delly over Lin, but that’s just me).

The Nets are in this sorry state because they mortgaged their future by pairing old superstars Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce with an aging Joe Johnson and Deron Williams back in 2013. All of this got Brooklyn was a sixth place finish in the East and a trouncing courtesy of LeBron James and the Miami Heat back in the second round of the playoffs.

The Nets traded away first round picks to make it happen, and are currently among the bottom feeders in the NBA because of their short-sighted moves.

Delly would be a good addition for the Nets. The point-guard market isn’t terrific, and Delly may truly look like a bargain next season when the cap rises even higher.
