Andrew Miller

Andrew Miller has come exactly as advertised, and now it’s time for the Indians huge investment to start playing mega dividends.

The Indians’ starting rotation is limping into the postseason, but the Tribe still believes it has a chance because of its strong bullpen. Manager Terry Francona would love a complete game shutout from each starter, but he’d settle for five good innings. He and the front office believe the bullpen of Bryan Shaw, Dan Otero, Jeff Manship, Miller and Cody Allen can cover the final four innings.

Miller is capable of pitching more than one inning, and his stats are mesmerizing.

He comes to the postseason playoff tested, having pitched in six playoff contests. In those 8 1/3 innings, Miller’s allowed zero runs, while striking out 10 batters! In that same span, he’s allowed just one walk and one hit! Talk about a gamer.

Against Boston, Miller will face his former team. Against the Red Sox, the lefty is 1-1 with a 1.65 in 27 innings of work throughout his career

Miller has easily made the fact the Indians traded top prospect Clint Frazier a little easier to swallow. As an Indian, Miller is 4-0 with a 1.65 ERA. He’s struck out 43 batters in 27 1/3 innings. Some of his strikeouts are become social media legend, as opposing batters fall to their knees trying hit his wicked slider.
