5 Predictions For The 2016 MLB Postseason
By Eric Pitcher
The NL Favorites Are World Series Champs
It has been 108 years since the Chicago Cubs have won a World Series. That streak ends in 2016. It will take all seven games, but the Chicago Cubs are going to beat the Boston Red Sox at Fenway.
The Cubs do not have many weaknesses and it was proven throughout this year. Winning 103 games, proving everyone wrong who doubted them.
It is time for this Cubs team to bring the trophy back to Wrigley. Chicago has two guys who are both worthy of winning a NL MVP: Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo.
Their starting pitchers? Four of the five starting pitchers have 15 or more wins. If their pitching can get into the 6th inning, you can bet their bullpen will be on full lockdown mode. Speaking of pitching, Jon Lester will even throw a guy out at first base without throwing the ball into right field.
The only way the Cubs can lose the series is if they beat themselves. While it is October and anything can happen, I do not think this Cubs team is going to fall short of anything less than a World Series title.
