Cleveland Indians Playoffs: 5 Bold Predictions For The ALCS
By Ryan Rosko
The Cleveland Indians are now just one series away from playing in a World Series!
Prior to the beginning of the season, there were high expectations for the Cleveland Indians. At the same time, there were question marks surrounding the team.
From uncertainty as to whether or not there would be enough offense to determining if Cleveland signed the right players, nothing was a sure thing. Of course luck plays a part, as both situations to a great extent showed each worked in the Indians’ favor.
Cleveland previously made it to the playoffs under manager Terry Francona. However, this season might be his best job yet in getting the Indians to be winners. It is great to see where the Tribe was in April and how they progressed now, while inching even closer to winning it all.
We know all about the Indians’ pitching. Yet, Cleveland’s success was also impacted in ways not associated with the players on the mound; Perhaps more than one would have thought. That is kind of hard to believe given the injuries to outfielder Michael Brantley, catcher Yan Gomes, and other key players over the course of the season.
Their ALDS play was very impressive. Sure, there was and still is confidence in the team during the playoffs. Cleveland has plenty of talent, but I doubt many fans truly believed that they were going to sweep the Boston Red Sox.
I don’t see Cleveland’s approach changing when it comes to how they plan to win versus the Toronto Blue Jays. That said, here are five bold predictions for the upcoming ALCS.
