Another week and another loss for the Cleveland Browns. What players will be candidates for this week’s Dawg House?

Last week was one of the worst losses of the Cleveland Browns season thus far. Nothing went right.

The secondary was abysmal. They couldn’t cover the tortoise or snail in a race if it came down to it on Sunday. The defensive line allowed Cincinnati Bengals running back Jeremy Hill to amass 168 yards on nine rushing attempts, while the linebacking core was lost.

Oh yeah, and we saw another quarterback, Kevin Hogan. The Browns “hall of fame” offensive line never fails to disappoint. Quarterback Cody Kessler got knocked out of the game permanently in the second quarter, and is still in concussion protocol.

It’s still not known if he will be ready tomorrow. However, the good news is that veteran quarterback Josh McCown will make his return in Week 8. Yet, with the terrible offensive line blocking, Hogan will have to remain ready.

The irony with McCown is that it’s against the New York Jets. The Jets were the team he suffered his first serious against with the Browns. Last season, McCown  got helicoptered into the endzone as he was running in for a touchdown.

Cleveland will have the best chance to get their first win of the season if he plays. With the Cleveland Indians in the World Series, and the Cleveland Cavaliers finally receiving their rings, and starting the season, the Browns are the last thing on fans minds these days.

But through the winless record and struggles, Browns fans are still the best in the league and remain loyal. Week 8’s game is upon us, but who were the candidates for the Dawg House in Week 7? Here they are.
