Schedule Points To A Winless Season

At this point, I’ll be more surprised if the Browns don’t go 0-16. According to the schedule, the Browns final eight games come against the Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Giants, Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills, San Diego Chargers and again versus the Steelers.

An NFL schedule can turn on a dime because of injuries. But as of right now, the Browns would lose to every single one of those teams.

The fact that the roster is still void of talent also makes “The perfect season” much more likely. The secondary should be at DEFCON 5, because the until is under a full aerial assault. Opposing quarterbacks know Cleveland’s defensive backs stink and they’re taking advantage of it.

The Browns have allowed 19 passing touchdowns, tied for dead last (with the Atlanta Falcons and Detroit Lions) in the NFL. The way the defensive line and linebacking corps are looking, Jim Brown’s statue could rush for 150 yards against this team.

It seems like the Dawg Pound has been hollering about stopping the run for years now, but the Browns still stink up that department. Cleveland ranks 31st out of 32 NFL teams, allowing 143 yards per game.

Offensively, the Browns don’t have anyone who can lead them to victory. If your into fantasy football, quarterback Josh McCown is good at getting the Browns skill position players involved, but the veteran still can’t actually win games in the real world.

Rookie quarterback Cody Kessler will return at some point form injury, but he’s still learning on the job. He’s done nothing to show that he can help this team pull out a win with the game on the line.

Depressed yet? Yeah, I thought so. Zero wins and no clear cut quarterback sitting atop the draft board. Our football team only knows how to do it one way: Going full-blown Browns, and they’re doing it better than ever in 2016.
