Tennessee Titans

Marcus Mariota took the next step in his career during his second year in the NFL, and he has the Titans positioned to make a playoff run in 2017.

What would really help?

A No. 1 receiver.

Considering Pryor just started learning the position, the Titans could reap the rewards of the Browns hard work with Pryor on their roster as Mariota continues his development into a franchise quarterback.

The Titans have $68 million in cap space and many of their young, core players are locked up to relatively cheap contracts.

With Mariotta looking to take a big step in year three, now could be the time to throw money at a player such as Pryor.

In Tennessee, Pryor would line up across from Rishard Matthews, who had a nice season hauling in 65 catches for 945 yards and nine touchdowns.

Perhaps the Titans will feel the same way fellow Ohio State teammate Brian Hartline feels about Pryor—that he’s not a No. 1 receiver.

“Is he my No. 1? God, I hope not. Because let’s put it this way: For me, I want a guy day in and day out I know what I’m getting. You don’t know what you’re going to get,” Hartline said before the end of the regular season.

But if the Titans are willing to take the risk, they certainly have the cash on hand to find out.
