New England Patriots

The Patriots have $67 million in cap space heading into the offseason. Pretty unfair for a team that’s annually a Super Bowl contender.

New England will use a lot of cap room to sign Dont’a Hightower and Malcom Butler to new contracts and while It’s more likely that they try to find bargains, I just can’t forget about how Belichik gushed over Pryor earlier this season.

“He has shown the ability to really do everything that you could ask of a receiver really, or a football player,” Belichik said before the Browns-Pats Week 5 matchup. “He has made great plays down the field, taking the ball away from defenders, has shown great timing and ball skills to get the ball. He’s made good run-after-catch plays, taking short passes and turning them into long runs with his speed and his elusiveness, his ability to break tackles and pick up extra yards. And then, he’s been productive in the quarterback position throwing, running.”

Pryor could’ve been a Patriot in 2015. After the Browns waived Pryor in favor or running back Robert Turbin, Pryor received a tryout with New England. Pryor went as far to say that he thought the Pats were going to sign him. It didn’t happen.

Perhaps Belichik wants to fix that mistake and give Tom Brady some help by way of a 6-foot-4, 223-pound receiver.
