In Cleveland Cavs trade rumors, the Cleveland is looking into the possibility of adding Rajon Rondo, Deron Williams or Jameer Nelson.

LeBron’s mad, so let’s fire up those Cavs trade rumors. Two of the five players Factory of Sadness writer Evan Hablitzel targeted for the Cavs have now been linked to the organization.

“…The Cavs have been looking to add Denver’s Jameer Nelson, Chicago’s Rajon Rondo or Dallas’ Deron Williams. Any of the three could help the Cavs,” wrote Forbes.com scribe Mitch Lawrence. “Nelson now is serving as Emmanuel Mudiay’s mentor, but could be dealt for the right price. Rondo, every coach’s nightmare, is on the outs in Chicago and in a backup role since being demoted from his starting spot. Williams could be a buyout candidate for the 15-29 Mavs since this looks like a lottery season for Mark Cuban and Dirk Nowitzki.”

LeBron’s taken some criticism on social media, because the Cavs have done everything he’s asked since returning to the team before the start of the 2014 season–that includes signing two players represented by his Klutch Sports Agency.

After the 2014-2015 campaign, the Cavs gave Tristan Thompson a lucrative deal to stay in Cleveland. Heading into the current campaign, the Cavs shelled out mega bucks for J.R. Smith.

This isn’t a knock on those signings. Thompson’s salary is earned in the Playoffs.

Smith earned his new contract with his play last season, but he didn’t get off to the best start and has been irrelevant thanks to a thumb injury.

Griffin also acquired one of the best shooters in NBA history–Kyle Korver–to aid the Cavs title defense chances.

But it’s not enough for James, and as ESPN scribe Brian Windhorst notes, James is worth it.

“This public pressure from James can be destabilizing and needlessly stressful. Over the last two years there has been a barrage of passive-aggressive tweets that have put the organization and teammates on tilt several times,” Windy wrote.

“But James fills the seats, raises the banners and draws the ratings. Recently, a deal was completed that will provide more than $160 million in public funding to renovate Quicken Loans Arena (the Cavs are putting in $120 million). Would it have happened had James not returned and delivered a championship?”

The problem for the Cavs remains a lack of assets to move. King James Gospel recently ranked the team’s assets. Outside of Cedi Osman, which players could the team actually move? Iman Shumpert is an interesting name, even though he’s performing better than he did a season ago.

The Cavs have some small trade exceptions, but they can’t be combined.

Williams may be the best the Cavs can hope for if the Mavericks buy him out, as Lawrence suggests.
