Head Coach Hue Jackson

Could Osweiler be more of a preference to the Browns and coach Hue Jackson than what is currently described? That is for you to decide. Until news is broke saying differently, Osweiler is on the roster and could start multiple games in 2017.

More from Factory of Sadness

Osweiler is a decent athlete and does have tools to work with. Up until now, he has yet to be with a coach who could get the most out of him.. both in the short and long-term.

With Jackson in the picture, what if he were to be Jackson’s guy for 2017 and as the Browns continue to build look elsewhere for their quarterback, maybe even in 2018?

Jackson has worked Browns free agent wide receiver, then quarterback Terrelle Pryor, Baltimore Ravens’ Joe Flacco, and Cincinnati Bengals’ Andy Dalton and A.J. McCarron to name a few. Both Flacco and Dalton would not have succeeded the way they have in the NFL if it were not for Jackson.

Of course Flacco has done more in the NFL to this point, but the fact that both AFC North quarterback’s play benefited during and after their time with Jackson cannot be ignored.

Osweiler could be added to that list. If he were, how does he not take steps forward in his game?

Jackson as the head coach is the best possible scenario Osweiler could ask for. The veteran coach knows quarterbacks, has coached many up past expectations, and has succeeded with multiple types of signal-callers.
