Browns’ Offensive Line

Cleveland finally does not have stop-gap options along the offensive line. Nor players forced to start due to a lack of talent at that area on the roster.

With the signings yesterday of center J.C. Tretter and right guard Kevin Zeitler, to go along with left tackle Joe Thomas and left guard Joel Bitonio, the Browns are in very good shape.

Cleveland’s new offensive line is getting plenty of praise and rightfully so. Although they have yet to play a snap together, their overall play as a whole has many excited and intrigued as to how good they could be. With 2016 grades, Pro Football Focus showed how great an offensive line is now in place in Cleveland:

The right tackle position should be up for debate, but that picture makes Browns fans all over smiling from ear to ear!

Each week opposing defenses will have a hard time trying to pass those four players. Now, the running game can become even more of a force as well. Yes, Cleveland’s running game was not bad last season, but the o-line’s recent additions certainly increased the running game’s outlook later this year.

The offense is nicely coming along. Last season in Houston was certainly a setback for Osweiler. However, with those four great linemen in front of him, a positive view point can replace any mind games he may otherwise still have dealt with had he not gotten traded.

The offensive line is impressive, but they can only give Osweiler so much time to make plays. It is up to him to make sure he gets back to playing like he did with Denver.
