Gareon Conley, CB Round 1 No. 14 Philadelphia Eagles

Yes, Ohio State should have three defensive backs drafted in the top 14. For awhile, it appeared as if Gareon Conley was the forgotten man in the position group because Malik Hooker and Marshon Lattimore pop so much buzz.

But after a stellar combine, Conley’s talked his way up the draft board. With the NFL world watching, The 6-foot, 195-pound corner ran a 4.44 40, and then turned in a 37.5-inch vertical leap.

Conley fits with the Eagles, because of his athleticism, build and his willingness to line up right up on top of opposing wideouts, writes 247Sports.com’s Jeff Kerr.

"The Eagles prefer long cornerbacks that can play man-to-man and keep up with their receiver to give the defense extra time to complete the pass rush. That makes Conley a strong fit for the Eagles at No. 14."

Philadelphia is desperate for help at corner. Jalen Mills ranked dead last (114th) among Pro Football Focus ranked corner backs last season.

It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Browns select Lattimore with the 12th pick. All of the mocksters have Cleveland taking a quarterback. But the team probably needs to start thinking upgrading the spot across the field from Joe Haden.
