Noah Brown, WR, Saints, Round 3, No. 76 Overall

Some Bucknuts may still be a little surprised Noah Brown left Ohio State early. Had he stayed, he had the potential for a breakout season, which could’ve meant he’d be looking at a first-round grade in the 2018.

Instead, Brown is giving this year’s draft a go after hauling 32 passes for 402 yards while making Oklahoma look silly on national television last September, catching four touchdown passes.

Brown didn’t leave the combine with scouts gloating, as there wasn’t much to talk about.

Receivers get a lot of attention when they run the 40, but Brown declined to do it, instead saving himself for Ohio State’s pro day.

Since Brown’s early entry left may surprised, you’ve got to wonder why he didn’t want to run the 40 at the combine. It would behoove him to use every opportunity to impress scouts.

At Ohio State’s pro day, Brown did run the 40.

At 6-foot-2, 222 pounds, Brown has the size and strength and potential play making ability that we saw that night in Oklahoma when he hauled in four touchdown catches.

New Orleans would be a great fit for Brown, as Drew Brees is coming off a 5,200yard passing season. With the Saints, Brown would line up opposite of former Ohio State star Michael Thomas.

Receiver became of a position of need after the Saints dealt Brandin Cooks to the New England Patriots.
