Cleveland Browns: Five Non-QB Options For The 12th Overall Pick

Add Another Gator To The Defense
This year’s cornerback class is very deep and extremely talented. As many as four cornerbacks could be drafted in the top 20.
Cleveland needs a lot of help in the secondary and when their draft class wraps up, they need to have selected four defensive backs. Ohio State corner Marshon Lattimore will have already been drafted. Meanwhile, Conley could be exactly what the Buffalo Bills at 10 and the New Orleans Saints are looking for.
Should that be the case, Florida’s Quincy Wilson would be a great alternative. Personally, I’d prefer a safety if I had to choose between a corner nad safety at 12, but Adams and Hooker should be off the board by 12.
Cornerback Briean Boddy-Calhoun showed some flashes in 2016 and has potential, but he is not talented enough to start opposite Joe Haden. Speaking of the former Gator, Haden is Cleveland’s best cornerback despite his injury concerns.
Wilson is not as polished or has a more complete game than Lattimore, but Wilson is still very good in coverage. He does not often give up the big play and has solid hips and feet.

I see some aspects of New York Giants’ Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie in Wilson’s game. If you like DRC’s game, you’ll like Wilson.
