Mitchell Trubisky Booed At Chicago Bulls Playoff Game
Mitchell Trubisky, the No. 2 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, was booed when the Chicago Bulls featured the QB on the video board at the United Center.
What does the Chicago Bears fan base think of No. 2 overall pick Mitchell Trubisky?
Not very much, evidenced by fans reaction during the Chicago Bulls first-round playoff game against the Boston Celtics.
Trubisky was booed when his face was showed on the video board at the United Center.
This certainly wouldn’t have been happening at Quicken Loans Arena should the Cleveland Browns have taken Trubisky, a home-grown talent, during the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
Obviously not all Bears fans feel this way.
Knowing what we know about Mitch, the Mentor High School product will use this as motivation, but Bears fans should know their anger is misdirected.
Trubisky didn’t fleece the Chicago front office. The Bears higher ups were competing against themselves for the UNC product, and let the 49ers walk away with a nice haul in draft picks.
OK, some Bears fans may be upset with the actual selection of Trubisky. Many mocks had the team taking corner Marshon Lattimore or safety Jamal Adams.
Good to see Trubisky keeping his head up. And why shouldn’t he? He still months away from taking a snap. Come on, Bears fan!
The Bears posted this after the reports of the booing took place. Notice, no sound.
Like so many bad teams, the Bears are a team going nowhere without a quarterback in place. They now have one who will be able to sit behind Mike Glennon while learning the NFL ropes.
A lot of folks around northeast Ohio would’ve been upset with Trubisky going to the Browns at No. 1, and he’s a hometown kid.
Hey, I understand. It’s not the smart play. But if Trubisky turns into a winner, all will be worth it, and the entire city of Chicago will be unloading praise on the second overall pick.
But don’t take it out on the kid during his introduction to the masses because he may just surprise you.
These types of appearances are supposed to be PR layups. Look no further than the Browns and Indians. Myles Garrett, Jabrill Peppers and David Njoku all threw out the first pitch before the Tribe’s Friday night game against the Mariners.
Needless to say, it was an amazing success.
