6. Sony Gray, SP, A’s

There figures to be a lot of starting pitchers for sale for MLB teams looking to buy before the trade deadline, and while Sonny Gray‘s stats might give you pause, he’s been better of late.

Gray is under contract through 2020, but is arbitration eligible after this season.

Entering Memorial Day, Gray had a 0.5 WAR to go along with a 2-1 mark and a 3.34 ERA.

In his last two starts, which came against Miami and Boston, Gray’s tossed 13 innings and fanned 19 while allowing four earned runs and just four walks.

The Indians and A’s do have some recent history making deals, as the Tribe traded prospect Joey Wendle for Brandon Moss a couple years back.
