4. The defensive line proves its the best in the country

The 2017 Ohio State Buckeyes defensive line is the strong point of their defense this year. They have NFL talent across the board.

Defensive coordinator Greg Schiano has let everyone knows how he feels about this group of athletes. Schiano said this could be the most talented group he has ever coached–including the team he coached with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Two time captain Tyquan Lewis is going to be the hands down leader of this group of animals. Lewis is expected to split time with Nick Bosa. When Bosa is on the field, Lewis will slide to defensive tackle.

On the other side of the line the Buckeyes will send out Sam Hubbard at defensive end. Dre’mont Jones will man the middle along with Tracy Sprinkle. Along with Hubbard, senior Jaylon Holmes will see a good amount of playing time at defensive end.

Against Indiana, this extraordinary group of talent will show the entire nation exactly what kind of havoc.

Expect the Buckeyes defensive line to record at least five sacks on the weakened Hoosiers offensive line. The pressure should force Richard Lagow to get rid of the ball early and not feel comfortable in the pocket. By doing that can force the young group of defensive backs to create turnovers.

Forcing the Indiana offense to run the ball will favor the Buckeyes defense more than it did before. The Hoosiers are going to be forced to run the ball outside of the tackle because with such a dominant defensive line being able to run inside the tackles is going t be just near impossible.

By running outside the tackles will force the Buckeyes linebackers and defensive backs to make even more plays and take some of the pressure off the defensive line.
