The Ohio State Buckeyes return to Ohio Stadium on Saturday to face off with the Maryland Terrapins.

Confidence is starting to build in Columbus as the Buckeyes have shown promise yet again. The Buckeyes’ win last weekend was not only another victory to add to the win column but an impressive one at that. Now, the Bucks return home to face another challenger that will be a bit more difficult than the last.

Maryland is 3-1 entering this game and already has a top 25 win. The Terrapins’ victory against Texas who was formerly ranked 23rd in the country was a statement win as they put up 51 points on the road. However, Texas has not looked the part as they’ve struggled to put the pieces together under former Buckeyes’ offensive coordinator Tom Herman in his first season as their head coach. That doesn’t take away from the fact that Maryland has looked quite impressive this season as they continue to improve.

Though it’s been smooth sailing competition-wise in the last few weeks, solid play on both sides of the ball is still a good sign. The Bucks were in dire need of some confidence after a rocky start and that’s just what they got in these last few games.

Rutgers was unable to come up with a single point last weekend while the Bucks put up a season high 56 points. A total team effort was put into place to pull that off. Typically it’s either the offense or the defense but both showed some of their best play we’ve seen all season.

The Bucks have increasingly put up more points each game since their loss at home to Oklahoma where they only scored one touchdown. This team is looking stronger than ever and that’s not only including this season. Saturday produces yet another opportunity for the Bucks to progress as the Maryland Terrapins will be their next test along the way.
