The Cleveland Browns lost in overtime against the Tennessee Titans in a defensive battle. Can this be the game to turn things around in a positive direction? What players/staff made it into this weeks Dawg House?

Sigh. That’s all there is to say about this year’s version of the Cleveland Browns.

Just when it seems like they’re taking positive steps, they take 20 negative ones back. This was one of the most competitive games the Browns have been in all season.

The defense was all over Marcus Mariota. Granted, he has been dealing with a hamstring injury, but he was still healthy enough to play, and the Browns made it difficult for him.  The run defense was stout as they held DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry to only 72 yards in total rushing.

According to ESPN.com, they’re currently ranked ninth in the NFL in rush defense allowing only 586 total yards this season.

However, the offense was a different story.

The quarterback carousel by coach Hue Jackson continued.  Cody Kessler, step right up!

After two interceptions from DeShone Kizer, Jackson put Kessler in, and there was immediate movement down the field.  He found Ricardo Louis immediately on his first pass attempt, and for once this season, the Browns looked like a professional NFL football team.

It didn’t last long.

The TItans defense realized that Kessler can’t throw more than 40 yards down the field, and they contained and pressed on him.  He threw an interception late in the fourth quarter and the rest of the game was history. They lost in overtime via a Ryan Succop field goal.

It just seems like never-ending heartbreak with this team week-after-week. Oh yeah, Joe Thomas is out for the season with a torn triceps muscle. His streak of 10,363 straight snaps since 2007 will be broken after missing the game on Sunday.

Nothing more needs to be said, here are the players/staff that are candidates for the Dawg House for Week 7.
