The Browns will take a QB at No. 1

Like every year, the Cleveland Browns are confronted with the biggest draft in franchise history this spring, and they’re going to have their selection of three superstar college quarterbacks in Josh Rosen, Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield.

After seeing analytics turn the Browns into the worst franchise in professional sports, there’s just no way Haslam could trust the model to deliver a quarterback, especially after the franchise passed on Carson Wentz and Deshaun Watson.

Haslam has no choice but to have someone who’s actually earned a living in football to make the pick.

For the record, analytical sites such as Pro Football Focus favor the Browns taking Mayfield, while Darnold’s athleticism has one a lot of fans over.

Rosen, meanwhile, looks like every bit the gunslinger that’s been advertised.
