10 moves the Cleveland Browns must make during the 2018 offseason
10. Re-acquire Pryor
Terrelle Pryor is coming off a disaster year for the Washington Redskins in which he caught just 20 passes for 240 yards and ended the year on the IR.
Cleveland should make an effort to bring him back, because Pryor was clearly out of his comfort zone with coach Hue Jackson.
Why take Pryor back?
Judging by the top of the draft, there isn’t a can’t miss receiving prospect, and let’s be honest, Cleveland isn’t exactly a place free agents are begging to play.
Pryor’s been here before and he obviously has a comfort zone playing for coach Hue Jackson.
The Browns should’ve never let him leave as the analytics side won another negotiation but lost a player.
Cleveland developed Pryor, only to let him walk, and then giving his money to one of the worst free agent signings in team history (Kenny Britt).
Pryor is a free agent, and the Browns could probably get him at an even more affordable price than they tried to last season.
Bonus: Win the fans back
What are the Browns without their fans?
It was depressing to see all the empty orange seats on the lake front as the Browns marched toward the wrong side of history.
Now that the perfect season is complete, there’s more of a disconnect than ever between the organization and the franchise, and that’s going to be put on full display when the Perfect Season 2.0 parade commences.
This parade will serve as an airing of the grievances for many members of the Dawg Pound, and it will surely be an embarrassment for the organization.
A lot of fans are frustrated, and while many will never stray from their Browns fandom, their interest might. Does anyone want to buy a Browns jersey or a Browns hat? No way. Not with the Cavs and Indians, you know, actually winning.
The Browns are in need of a re-brand, but they can’t. Not with the history. There’s only one thing left to do to get everyone back on board: Win.
